Snow in Holdingham Sleaford? Did we do well?

It is amazing how Snow in the UK hits the headlines (as it has over the last week) whilst the Continent (including Russia, Scandinavia and adjoining states) seems to get on with it. The US to a lesser extent. The statistice for the winter will be out in a day or two so it will be interesting to see the final max/min tally.

The headlines paint a desperate picture. Some relate to accidents which is truly awful for those concerned: it is our ability to cope Community and commercially  that is at stake and to which I am referring to. The Standard has pose the question: can you legally take a day off?

Here are a few photos to be going on with:

Facilities for New Developments in and around Sleaford.

An article in the Lincolnshire Live (Sleaford Target) highlights concerns at Ruskington about a development of 70 properties or more. Opinion is split as to how services will cope. Ditto Sleaford but on a much larger scale.  Note: in a mainly rural area with Becks as drainage this type of litter problem has occured during the years as New Estates are built.

Here is the link to the article.  I did put my own comments as a reply to the article.

Litter: Lincoln Road Sleaford.

Rubbish shows up more this time of year. Every year a report/complaint goes in for a co-ordinated effort to solve the problem long term. Where the Becks have been cleared of thorns and undergrowth (and are easier to get at) they are kept clean.

Post-Note: well things have been done and a Sleaford Town Council  February 9th saw a clean-up. Here photographs to prove it.
