The household has been taken over by Tennis this last day or two. The Wimbledon Finals are with us: rain affected and were getting hysterical. A Brit was a winner on the Saturday:
"Jonny Marray became Britain's first men's doubles champion at Wimbledon for 76 years and hoped his success would inspire Andy Murray to glory."
He entered through a wild card (as they call it) and made it to the Title. No pressure, no one expected him to get that far let alone win.
Andy Murray was one such contestant who could probably have done without all the pressure he got. It's good to support but the headlines were a bit over the top. Here are the Sunday Newspaper Headlines.
- Murray Mania
- Murray’s £50M Racket
- Murray’s £100M Prize if he wins Wimbledon
- Murray’s Moment
- Andy Make our Day
- We’re All Praying for You Andy
- Now’s the Day, Now’s the Hour! (a nation at fever pitch as Andy Murray seeks to lay to rest a 76 year hoodoo)
- Come on my Son! (Andy can do it in the final says his dad!)
