Holdingham Neighbourhood Plan? Any use in a Sleaford Context?

I posted the message below on Facebook (CUG Sleaford Holdingham Ward). Quite abit of interest for a small Community CUG. The issue is: will such a plan  be workable in Holdingham and are we being used as cannon fodder for wider ambitions.

Neighbourhood Plans: these are being developed across Lincolnshire and especially the NKDC area. Some have already submitted their plans. Sleaford is behind the pack if that is the right word. But what will we get out of it (Holdingham in particular) if we had one. The idea originally was to get funding from the developers called Community Infrastructure Levy.

It is on the Agenda this week at STC but one issue is "will it be any good for Holdingham". Leasingham are developing their own. Sleaford has joined forces with Kirkby La Thorpe. The area map is here (scroll down to find Sleaford).

Holdingham Grange Works: Sleaford

The site  is now having work done at the entrance to allow for safe passage of vehicles onto the Holdingham Grange Housing Estate and Care Home. Also for residents approaching and leaving  Holdingham Lane.

There will be a formal entrance/exit as the right of way is onto Holdingham Grange Estate and eventually beyond that.  The site foreman has promised me a drawing of the work and road rearrangement. Pity it wasn't done at the outset before trees were planted.

Sleaford: How Long Before this is complete: and in the way described?

This article has appeared in the Sleaford Standard relating to a presentation next Thursday at NKDC. 

Will it affect Holdingham? You bet it will!

Tesco Development proposals for the Advanta Seeds site.  It will have implications for Sleaford generally and no doubt Traffic Flows within Town and even out to the Holdingham Roundabout.

The access through the Bowls Club and cutting across to the corner of the Boston Road Open Space has already been agreed. What will have to be sorted out (if not already done) is the content of the development (it is a Brown Field site)  and if there is any contamination of the Advanta Seeds Land. That will be a matter for the Planning Authority and maybe the Planning Inspectorate.
